The community of Oasis De Capistrano is made up of 15 acres of rich green grass, beautiful tropical gardens, winding pathways, meandering streams; and has three spotless swimming pools. All of this can be enjoyed by residents and their guests.
The delightful gardens in Oasis De Capistrano are filled with towering palm trees, colourful flowers, exotic plants and lovely birds. The stream that runs through the gardens encourages even more wildlife to gather at its sides. In addition there is a wonderful pond teaming with fish and surrounded by more rich foliage.
Right beside Oasis De Capistrano is a large Aqueduct framing the nearby hills and fields which are flourishing with avocados and other tasty Andalusian produce. For a feel of the real Spanish countryside there is a path that leads under the aqueduct and alongside these fields, great for a stroll and only a few minutes away.
The houses in Oasis De Capistrano are in keeping with the traditional Andalusian white-washed village design. Although traditional looking, most properties are well cared for and have the usual mod-cons inside.
The Community office in Oasis De Capistrano has lots of information about local services, activities and events. Here you can also find a small library if you are looking for a new book. If you are a fan of Petanca or ‘bowls’, then you’re in luck as Oasis De Capistrano has it’s own Petanca court available for all residents and guests.
The Pool area is set within the lower part of the gardens, easily accessible for all residents. Oasis De Capistrano boasts three pools, one of which is a children’s pool. There are permanent sunshades and also extra sun umbrellas and sunbeds to use.
The three pools are open every day from 10.00-20.00.
The popular ‘La Vainilla’ Restaurant is beside the main pool. Although they do not open in the winter, you will find them open in the summer months, when they even have their seating outside, so you can enjoy a lovely meal ‘Al fresco’ in the gardens overlooking the pool and also enjoy a cocktail at their outdoor bar. The other nearby restaurant, Las Fuentes, is open all the year round and you can find them further up on the main road next to the entrance to Oasis De Capistrano.
Although there are no shops in the actual community there are two large supermarkets only 5-10 minutes walk away. The closest is a big ‘Mercadona‘, which is like the ‘Sainsbury’s of Spain’; and a few minutes further is ‘Supersol‘, which is more of an international supermarket. There is a bus stop right at the entrance to Oasis De Capistrano, where you can take the regular blue ‘Bus Urbano‘ to the rest of Nerja and Capistrano. The community is also a short distance from Nerja’s very popular Burriana beach. This lovely, long beach has many restaurants, bars and shops, some of which are open all year round.
