Bus Service from Capistrano
For keen walkers being on the outskirts of Nerja really isn’t a problem, as even on foot you can be in the Centre of Nerja within twenty minutes. If you are less keen on walking, or you are loaded with heavy bags you can rely on the regular ‘Nerja Bus Urbano’, Nerja town bus service. The service runs daily and will take you to all the central spots. The ‘Bus Urbano’ is a circular service which leaves from the Rio Monica Hotel on the hour almost every hour from 09:00-22:00 except for during Siesta.
There are three different Bus Stops to choose from in Capistrano Village, depending on where you are staying. If you are not sure to begin with, then start with the main one; which is called ‘Urb. Capistrano Village’, as this will take you to the centre of the village near the office and the communal pool area. You main find that the other Capistrano Village bus stops, ‘Urb Las Golondrinas’ or ‘Urb. Jardines de Nerja’, are closer for you.
The bus from Parada (meaning ‘stop’) ‘Urb. Capistrano Village’ is due every hour from 09.22am-14.22pm then again every hour from 17.22pm-22.22pm. Usually it would be advisable to be at the bus stop by quarter past the hour just to be sure you don’t miss it!
Don’t forget that there are no buses in Siesta time, hence the three-hour gap!
